Attitudes of Divorced Women Toward their Ex-husbands and Children in Kuwait Society (in Arabic)

There are forgotten aspects of divorce. One of these is the attitude of divorced women toward their ex-husbands and their relationships with their children. This study is an attempt to explore this relationship.
Detailed interviews were conducted with 258 randomly selected divorced women. Respondents were well distributed according to age, education, income and religious sect. A questionnaire was used for the interviews. It consisted of 245 questions. It was found that there were significant relationships between the attitudes of divorced women and trauma, age, religious sect, type of divorce, and place of residence. It was found that there were significant relationships between The possibility of remarrying ex-husbands and experiencing trauma, suggesting divorce, insisting on divorce, counseling prior to divorce, and dealing with children. It was also found that there were significant relationships between the attitudes of the women in our sample towards the effect of divorce on children, and type of divorce, reasons for divorce, childrens age, women employment, and the ex-husbands religious practice.
