The Differentiated Coherence in Poetry: Practical Criticism (in Arabic)
Auther : Mokhtar Abu Ghali
This study approaches the literary text from a new perspective, that is, the language of tension in poetry. Using this perspective this study tries to unify three different terms: antithesis, binaries and irony. It proposes that the great poet is one who creates out of these conflicting voices a unified and homogeneous text or rather a poem. This is a critical view emphasized by important contemporary studies, both western and Arabic studies receptive to international trends.
Finally this study advocates practical criticism in this perspective, believing that application should be based on theory evidenced through study of the text. Thus the paper focuses on the study of the poem of Abu al-Ala al-Maarri, which elegizes his cousin, Ali Ibn al-Muhathab.
