"Arab Colonialism" Between Expression & Formulation (in Arabic)
Auther : Mohammad Hassan Abdalla
Arab colonialism is the title of an anthology of poems written by the folkloric poet abdel-Raman al-abnoodi in connection with the catastrophe of the Iraqi sudden occupation of Kuwait. This anthology has been selected as the subject of this critical study for two reasons.
The role of figures is coupled with that of dialogue, which appears through narration in different ways, there is a dialogue stated y the poet, another quoted from someone, and a third whose parties are inferred though the context. There is also the dialogue of situations or cases and finally there is that of the chorus represented in the two concluding poems. In the first one, the poet is addressing the spider, whereas in the second he addresses his despair and pains to his friends. These constitute a warning, a cry of protest, a call for refuting submission to the disaster, as if it were an inevitable destiny.
