The Beginnings of Palestinian - Zionist Settlement and Confrontation (During the Last Third Part of the 19th Century) (in Arabic)
Auther : Ibraheem Abdul Kareem
This research discusses the procedural matters and the reactions connected with the stage of establishing the Zionist settlement in Palestine, and the mutual responses within the limits of the early contrast between the Palestinian and the Zionist citizens.
After studying the introductory Jewish settlement until 1881, this research discusses the stage of the establishment of settlement formally since 1882 until the end of the 19th century, including the question of smuggling the Arab lands to the hands of Zionists. To give an idea about what happened, this research discusses the Palestinian situations which prevailed at that time and observes the beginning of the change in the nature of the relationships (starting from living together until reaching hostility). Then it continues by discussing the new expressions of displeasure of the Palestinians (the material resistance the violence, the protest by petitions, and then through the political ways).
This research investigates the new Palestinian stand which opposes Zionist activity in Palestine. - Here it stresses on the problem of robbing the land and the economical dimension of the Jewish emigration . After that it studies the ideas and the behaviour of the settlers. Finally, it stresses on the effect of the national ideas.
In addition to that, this research studies the question of the responses of the settlers especially the hidden considerations beyond using the Arabs to work inside the settlements and how to secure protection and to depend on different styles in dealing with the Arab farmers to absorb their revenge on taking their lands and on the Zionist economical threat to their living. This research tries to give a picture of the pattern of the Zionist thinking towards this subject. It chooses witnesses of well-known thinkers like (Kalischer, Ahad Ha-am, Semelansky, Herzel, Epstein...). The research ends by giving some results and lessons which became clear consequently.
