Distribution of Students' Grades at Kuwait University and its Implications for Advising (in Arabic)

Auther : Raja Abu-Allam , Qasem Al-Sarraf

This study investigates the deviation of students grades at Kuwait University from expected distribution. Students grads of the first semester of the year 1982/1983 were classified according to course level (100,200,300,400), concerning the university as a whole, each individual college, and science and art colleges. Accordingly, tables, showing the percentages of these grades, and curves, showing the shapes of distribution of the grades, were utilized.

Some implications were drawn concerning advising the students not to rely heavily on certain criteria when selecting courses, such as course facility, and the leniency of some staff members from granting higher grades.
