The Effect of the Expository and Discovery Methods on Acquisition and Transfer of Some Linguistic and Mathematical Concepts (in Arabic)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the expository and discovery methods on acquisition and transfer of some linguistic and mathematical concepts by a sample of (282) second preparatory graders in Jordan.
To study the effect of method of intruction used on acquisition, both expository and discovery groups were supplied with the transfer material units and left to study them under the supervion of their teachers.
Analysis of (Z) test results show that performance of discovery group students on linguistic and math concepts transfer tests, was significantly higher than that of expository group students on the same tests.
