Toward A Model for Management Teaching (in Arabic)
Auther : Salem Al-Tuhaih
The pressing need for management has appeared in the Gulf Area in the 70.s and 80.s. for this reason, the writer realizes the necessity of examining the actual management teaching in Kuwait by studying the present situation of the graduates of business administration. Examining and evaluating the type of curriculum they study, and drawing up a concept of what that curriculum should be. By doing these things, the writer aims at proposing a model for management teaching in Kuwait so that Kuwait University can consider the new developments in management teaching and practicing, and respond to the need of Kuwait Society for qualified managers.
The writer depends on two Methods:
First: the theoretical Study to define the present and future needs for management graduates: to study the present situation with regard to the number and type of graduates and to the curricula they study. The aim is to determine whether or not a gap between the needs of society and the present educational situation exists.
Second: The field study: to get information and data that theoretical study cannot provide especially concerning the typical qualification that are expected in management graduates.
During the four academic years there should be a training program in the different sectors in order to prepare able graduates who could deal efficiently with the actual problems they might face in their professional careers.
