The Impact of Lean Production Policy Practices on Company Performance:

Auther : Mohamed S. Shahin

The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of lean production policy practices related to suppliers, buyers, and the internal environment on company performance. To reach this purpose, three different hypothesis have been developed, the first one implies that adopting lean production policy practices related to suppliers will improve company performance, the second one implies that adopting lean production policy practices related to buyers will improve company performance, and the third one implies that adopting lean production policy practices internally will improve company performance. Industrial pharmaceutical companies in Egypt are the field of applying this study. Through a survey of these companies, we have gathered the required primary data using a questionnaire. To insure reliability, the questionnaire has been tested using Cronbach's Alpha, and factor analysis has been used to test the internal validity of questionnaire contents. Finally, using multiple regression, we conclude that there is a significant and positive relationship between lean production policy practices related to buyers and the internal environment and company performance.
