Job Satisfaction for Salesforce in Saudi Private Sector: A Field Study in Private Organizations in the Eastern Province

Auther : Sami A. Albahussain

This study investigates the level of job satisfaction for both Saudi and non-Saudi Salesforce in private organizations in Saudi Arabia. It also aims to investigate the relationship between personal characteristics (age, educational level, salary, and experience) and the level of job satisfaction. To achieve these objectives, 1560 questionnaires were distributed to salesforce in 285 organizations. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the level of job satisfaction for non-Saudi Salesforce is higher, with statistics significant, than Saudi salesforce, (2) the main factors affecting job satisfaction for both Saudi and Non-Saudi are salary, stability at work, and reward and promotion, and (3) there is a positive relationship between salary and job satisfaction for both Saudi and non-Saudi salesforce. The results also show that there is a negative relationship between educational level and job satisfaction for Saudi salesforce, but not for non-Saudi salesforce. Further, the study indicates that the relationship between experience and job satisfaction is positive for the Saudi Salesforce but negative for the non-Saudi counter part. Finally, it is found that there is no relationship between age and job satisfaction for both Saudi and non-Saudi salesforce.
