The Determinants of Kuwaiti Insurance Companies’ Performance: An Analytical Study

This study examines the major determinants of insurance companies' performance in Kuwait. First group of the determinants relates to the nature of acceptable insurance transactions, such as the types of covered risks and degree of risk. Second group relates to the efficiency of performing the technical functions of insurance company's operations, as well as administrative functions. Third group relates to the characteristics of insurance market structure. This Study also aims at providing insurance companies and supervisory authorities the findings and measures of the determinants as a tool for planning insurance activities.
