Impact of is Functions on the Managerial Practices of Higher and Middle Management: A Study Applied to Kuwaiti Public Organizations

This field study aims at assessing the impact of services provided by information systems functions on management development processes within public organizations. These organizations are classified under the Kuwaiti State Financial Structure into three categories: State Budget, Attached Budgets, and Independent Budgets. The research is carried out from three perspectives: information systems unit, higher management, and middle management. The results indicate that the deployed information technology infrastructure is advanced in many organizations. Also , the results reveal that services provided by IS units influence moderately administrative work performance, however, with varying degrees. Finally , The study proposes a future research framework in order to maximize the benefits form deploying information technology in Kuwaiti organizations.
