Proposed Algorithm for an Optimum Crashing the Completion Time of a Pert/Cost Project Using Slack Times Available in their Activities

This study aims at providing a quantitative tentative model for solving crash problems which are increasing as the size of the projects are resulting inefficient widely known conventional methods and due to the non-availability of a standard optimum technique suitable for solving crash problems for all projects and cases. This study provides a general simple model which can be easily implemented in all crash cases. The study organizes procedures without repetitions and prolonged uses and it can be operated manually or by computer. This model is based on: (1) The same well known PERT assumptions. (2) The slack time (flexibility) at the activity time and the crash activity time, which ever is less. (3) The maximum cost slope. (4) Taking off the pressures in these activities of the crashed network that makes all paths critical without increasing extra costs, if it is possibly technical.
