Transformational Leadership and Its Impact on Employee’s Adaptive Performance: An Empirical Study on Saudi’s Insurance Sector Companies

This study aimed at investigating the impact of transformational leadership on employee's adaptive performance. To achieve this, the researcher applied two scales (Multifactor leadership questionnaire and Adaptive Performance Inventory) to a random sample of (498) employees working in Saudi's insurance sector companies. The results indicated that there was a moderate level in practicing these two variables in the selected companies, and there were direct and positive impacts of transformational leadership on employee's adaptive performance dimensions, with the highest impact being on demonstrating interpersonal and cultural adaptability. The study recommends the need to rely on transformational leadership practices as one of the key contextual factors that can improve and enhance employee's adaptive performance.
