The Nature and Causes of Organizational Cynicism among Iraqi Employees: A Scenario-Based Experimental Study

By using a scenario-based experiment, this study aims to explore the nature of Iraqi employees' organizational cynicism and the main factors which cause it. The study sheds light on some organizational cynicism antecedents, including organizational politics, organizational hypocrisy, and unsuccessful changing initiatives. Different scenarios are designed about these antecedents and are administered to a sample of public organizations in the province of AL-Qadisiya. The study employs a set of appropriate statistical tools such as MANOVA and ANOVA. The findings provide support for most of the study hypotheses and some recommendations are made based on them.
